Updated: Jun 8, 2023

This is the Penny & Lucy Lou Art eBlast series that showcases our clients (the Interior Designers) that are hard at work making sure our art fits in the space and is appealing to their client(s). Enjoy and share in our excitement by walking in our shoes viewing the newest installation of Penny & Lucy Lou Art.

What was your inspiration for Spring Arbor of Frederick, MD? When I visited downtown Frederick I loved the classic brick elements that I saw everywhere & decided to bring a bit of downtown Frederick, MD into the interiors of the Spring Arbor senior living community. The goal was to create a comfortable, updated traditional interior with ties to the classic elements seen throughout the downtown area.

What was the hardest vs. the easiest part concerning the acoustical art panels? The hardest part was selecting the final imagery!  Working with Penny’s team was by far the easiest part of the process.  They went out of their way to meet our deadlines, arrange for out of the ordinary deliveries and the install crew was also great to work with.

Share your thoughts on how the installation looks and what your client(s) think. I am extremely pleased with the acoustical art & it really completed the interiors of the 3 dining rooms in this project as well as the café & activity rooms! The client is very happy with the acoustical art & has already requested we repeat the concept on the next project we’re working on for them.  The end user (management team) has reached out specifically to share feedback from a few residents about the special meaning the imagery of these specific scenes has for them!
