This is the Penny & Lucy Lou Art eBlast series that showcases our clients (the Interior Designers) that are hard at work making sure our art fits in the space and is appealing to their client(s). Enjoy and share in our excitement by walking in our shoes viewing the newest installation of Penny & Lucy Lou Art.
What was your inspiration for the space? What is the space used for? New build or Renovation?
This was a renovation project of an existing multi-tenant building lobby. The building was acquired by a new owner and they desired to update the space to attract tenants to the existing vacancies, but needed help developing a vision for replacing the mauve wallpaper and dated tile and creating an energetic, exciting atmosphere for existing and potential tenants. SEED was inspired by the architecture of the exterior façade which is very geometric. Thankfully, behind the stud railing walls, we had a floating stair begging to be showcased. SEED recommended going back with a glass railing to create a more inviting and open feel, accent tile to add contrast, wood paneled walls, and all new furniture, artwork, and lighting to compliment the design inspiration.
Were we able to fulfill your vision for this space?
We were introduced to Penny & Lucy Lou through PMC Commercial who did the furniture package. They worked diligently to suggest artwork that played off the geometric themes and added complimentary pops of color to the mostly neutral space.
How was your experience in working with us?
Penny was very professional and organized. Her presentation package communicated the design intent for artwork excellently and she worked with us on a couple minor revisions to get it just right. I like that her work is original and not stock photos that could be found in other buildings too! The owner, SEED, and existing tenants are thrilled with the end result!
